We are privileged to be residents of this amazing City that in it’s first 9 years it has received national acclaim.

As you may know, I resigned from my position as Economic Developer for the City of Doral on July 24th to run for Seat #2 of the City of Doral Council.  Every time I went to a ribbon cutting of a business, a new park or developed an economic report I felt proud that every day more residents and businesses had chosen our City for their families and their businesses.  We now have to work hard to keep it this way.

 As the first Economic Developer for the City of Doral I authored and implemented the economic development strategic business plan, approved by Council, and worked closely with our city department heads to continuously improve our governmental processes, but innovative policies and laws need to be developed.  Some of the programs I instituted are:

• “Spend Local and Stay Local Program” that promotes economic growth,
  
  

• Doral Design District economic development tools, such as the Facade incentive program that will be implemented in Oct, Art festival in November, Green incentive project and the Brownfield  Program for low interest loans and incentives.
  
  
• Business and community information booklets such as the “Business and Community guide, Economic Snapshot, Doral Business Census, Comprehensive Economic Report, and Doral SWOT to name a few. 
  
  

I am now respectfully requesting your support and vote.  I am up for the challenge to diligently work with you to maintain our success, preserve and continuously improve our quality of life while maintaining our taxes low and being fiscally sound. I would like to present to you my platform and together take Doral to the next level of success.

• Create jobs through business incentives and cultural/tourism programs
  
  

• Promote and develop a public-private partnership to establish the “Doral Cultural Center”
  
  

• Establish and encourage youth and senior programs
  
  

• Cooperatively work within our departments to streamline and reduce processing time, improve our intergovernmental alliances and decrease regulations, and taxes
  
  

• Preserve our green areas and develop more parks.
  
  

• Boost our image as the international epicenter of trade, commerce and tourism through events, international missions and local and international exposure.
  
  

• Establish Doral as an “E-B 5” City,  to attract investors and have the ability to issue immigration residency status working cooperatively with the Federal government.

• Maintain the balance and quality of life with smart sustainable growth

• Reduce traffic congestion with green initiatives, intergovernmental programs and planned infrastructure

• Keep our businesses and families secure with police friendly programs and innovative projects

• Bring the government to the people with “Interactive Government” to communicate directly to our residents the many opportunities and programs the government has available to enhance their quality of life.

In simplest of terms to "Doralize your Life"*. I hope to accomplish this with your support as Council Woman seat #2, punch #115.
